Steve Bailes, M.D.
Dr. Bailes was born in Anderson SC to a physician’s family with 10 children. He received an undergraduate bachelor of science degree from Clemson University before attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina.
He and his wife Ellen have five children. They have homeschooled all of their children, two of whom have finished college and one of which is presently at North Greenville University. They are presently home-schooling the youngest two in high school.
When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Bailes hunts and fishes, plays banjo and guitar, and spends lots of time helping to bring new types of technology to the practice of medicine at Westgate Family Physicians.
Dr. Bailes is actively involved in church and his Christian faith is the defining priority of his life. He has been with Westgate Family Physicians for over 20 years and considers it a privilege to be a family physician.
