What Immunizations Do I Need?

We provide all of the usual and required childhood immunizations.  Here are some new vaccines and recommendations.

TDaP , which stands for:  Tetanus, Diphtheria, and acellular Pertussis (whooping cough).  The national guidelines now call for everyone over the age of 11 up to the age of 65 to be reimmunized against whooping cough by using this combination.

GARDASIL is an important new vaccine for young women between the ages of 11 and 25 which will protect them against the virus that causes cervical cancer and genital herpes.  We strongly recommend this vaccine.  Check with your insurance carrier to see if the cost is covered for you by insurance.

ZOSTIVAX:, the new shingles vaccine is a wonderful vaccine that is recommended to patients over the age of 65, but can be given to any adult patient who desires to be protected against shingles.  It is covered by some insurance policies and by Part D Medicare.

Flu Vaccines are available each year beginning around October.  We usually continue to give flu shots through January of each year.
